La Gondola’s mountain photography
“Glistening glaciers, spring water, rising peaks, hard work and harvesting in Alpine pastures, surviving rituals and traditions as well as urging change in the world of mountains, apparently unchanged but actualy in constant evolution.
All these aspects are reflected in the hundred images by some of the most celebrated photographers of the Venetian Circle La Gondola. The Circle has always harboured a special interest for the mountanis, especialy those of the cadore area, and feit their historical and ideal ties with our city on the water.
Not just beautiful images but also an invitation to reflect on the changes that have taken place in the last sixty years, our Circle’s life span so far. A journey into remembrance and nostalgia, an opportunity to look at the present and hope for the future.”
