“Since its inception, from Paolo Monti on, the photography club La Gondola has kept looking for a more authentic vision of the city on the water. Gianni Berengo Gardin, Fulvio Roiter, Bepi Bruno, Sergio Del Pero, Bruno Rosso and the many good photographers associated with the Club throughout the years have provided a personal interpretation reflecting their own creative style and, at the same time, aimed at an often neglected objectivity. The exhibition, which presents works by famous names as well as present members, shows the continuing evolution of a deeply-felt relationship, often troubled and problematic in recent years as Venice changed in its social and economic structure. The exhibition is an opportunity to verify the enduring intensity of this relationship and share feelings of love and hope for our city.”
